TS PECET 2024 Registration – How to Register

Satavahana University has started sign-ups for the Telangana State Physical Education Common Entrance Test (TS PECET) 2024 from March 14. If you’re interested and eligible, you can apply for TS PECET 2024 on the official website, pecet.tsche.ac.in.

The deadline to register online without paying extra is March 15, 2024. But if you register after that date, you can still apply until May 25, 2024, by paying an extra Rs 500. You can even apply until May 31, 2024, with an extra fee of Rs 2,000. The Physical and Skill Tests will happen at Satavahana University, Karimnagar, from June 10 to 13, 2024.

TS PECET 2024 ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

For BPEd: If you want to join the BPEd program, you must have either taken or completed a three-year degree course from any university in Telangana or a recognized institution. Also, you need to be at least 19 years old by July 1, 2024.

For DPEd: To join the DPEd program, you should have either taken or completed the Intermediate or equivalent course recognized by the government of Telangana. You also need to be at least 16 years old by July 1, 2024.

TS PECET 2024 APPLICATION PROCESS:

  1. Visit the TS PECET official website.
  2. Click on the registration link.
  3. Fill out the application form and upload the necessary documents.
  4. Pay the application fees.
  5. Save or print the acknowledgment form for later use.

In 2024, To apply for TS PECET

  1. Application Fees:
    • For general category candidates, the fee is Rs 900.
    • For SC and ST candidates, the fee is Rs 500.
  2. Selection Process:
    • TS PECET is a Common Entrance Test for B.P.Ed (Two years) and D.P.Ed. (Two years) programs in Telangana for the academic session 2024-25.
    • The test includes Physical Efficiency Tests where each event can get you up to 100 marks.
    • Marks are given based on approved conversion tables by the TS PECET Committee.

Physical Efficiency Tests TS PECET

For men, there are certain events they must do, and they don’t have a choice. These events are the 100-meter run, 800-meter run, throwing a 6-kilogram shot put, and either doing a long jump or a high jump.

For women, there are also events they must do, and they don’t have a choice. These are the 100-meter run, 400-meter run, throwing a 4-kilogram shot put, and either doing a long jump or a high jump. Pregnant women cannot participate in these tough tests.

In addition to these compulsory events, there are skills tests. Each event can earn a maximum of 100 marks, which will be given by experts. Both men and women must choose one sport from options like ball badminton, basketball, cricket, football, handball, hockey, kabaddi, kho-kho, shuttle badminton, lawn tennis, and volleyball.
